International sponsorship
International students coming to Montpellier, Nîmes or Perpignan to study at a higher education institution can now register for the 2017 international sponsorship program.
The result of a solid partnership between the CROUS and COMUE LR-Universités, international sponsorship is a personalized welcome scheme for foreign students on individual mobility or exchange programs.
During the first 2 months of their stay - in September and October - "godparents" welcome, accompany and guide new international students, or "godchildren", to help them successfully integrate into their place of study and city.
Since 2011, 1,500 godmothers and godfathers have welcomed over 3,500 godchildren from 90 different countries.
