On the occasion of Ambassadors' Week, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the importance of "student diplomacy", an essential element in France's attractiveness.
The President deplored the insufficient number of foreign students in France. In his view, it is therefore essential to implement a more determined strategy to create major universities in France with international visibility.
The welcoming strategy must also be more aggressive and more integrated. It begins with the Campus France centers, and continues with visa applications and university admissions...
For the French President, this simplified welcome must also be accompanied by new university cooperation agreements. All efforts must be directed in the same direction.
